Found this bit of beauty – this still life of a street scene…this thoughtfully created and cultivated sidewalk-garden – I found it a month ago, in July, in Toronto, on the day before I left for a month-full of adventures. My first travelling adventures since leaving my workplace. It’s a wonderful scene – a gift to strangers and passers-by. And, a nice memory of the eve of departure for adventure, and departure from a work-life I had known and loved for many years. I was on the run that day – running errands, and completing tasks that need finishing before I could leave – when I stumbled upon this lovely scene..and stopped to take it in.
For August Break, I’m supposed to be sharing images of, yes, August! But, I’m breaking form instead! August Break is rule-free, after-all. So, I’m sharing photos I’m still processing – processing the experiences they represent. For me, this is definitely part of what ‘August Break’ is all about.
I’m so grateful she creates this space for photographers of all ages and experience to share their work.
A photograph a day.
I can do that. I need to do that. I’ve been out of my photography routine for several weeks, and it’s time to get back into it.
