Maybe it’s autumn’s influence.
When nature’s bones are revealed. Dark limbs of trees, laid bare by cold and wind. Simple lines. Etched clean against skies of blue or grey.
Whatever it is, a new kind of image is capturing my eye these days…scenes that are stripped down, laid bare, revealing line, shape, and simple colour..or no colour at all. There’s a kind of simplicity, an elemental quality, to these photographs.
A line of lake, a square of sky, a curve of land.
And, three birds, etched into the sky.
